Thank you for your review! You can always make your sodas less sweet by reducing the amount of sugar in the recipe or fermenting your sodas in the bottle for an extra day.

Received this as a gift. Easy to follow instructions, the results from the spice sets it comes with were great, I’ve also made the recipe cards and am moving on to experimenting. The biggest thing I recommend is that you look up how to rest a ginger bug (and how to revive it) because that jar just gets too full with daily feedings if you only make a small amount. Oh, and be aware that if your kitchen tends to the cooler side, it might need more time than the instructions but for me it still worked.

My ginger bug is still going strong after several months. I tried the Elderberry and Root Beer flavor kits. The Elderberry was fantastic and everyone who tried it agreed. The root beer was good but not quite the root beer flavor I expected. I have begun experimenting with different batches and trying my own flavors. I love the tiny bubble fermentation instead of the fake injected large bubble carbonation of store bought soda.
