Do I need a ginger bug to use this?
Yes. A soda spice flavors the brew, and a living ginger bug culture makes the natural fizz. If you don't have one yet, add a Ginger Bug Starter, or start with one of our kits.
How much soda does one spice pack make?
Each spice pack makes a half-gallon of finished soda, and you can re-steep many flavors for a lighter second batch.
What is actually in the spices?
Real, whole, organic and wildcrafted ingredients: roots, barks, berries, and botanicals. No artificial flavors, colors, or extracts. Every ingredient is listed right on the product.
Is homemade ginger bug soda alcoholic?
No. Like kombucha, the natural fermentation makes only a tiny trace of alcohol, usually well under 0.5%. The result is a fizzy, probiotic soda the whole family can enjoy.
